Playacar

To the south of Playa del Carmen and right next door is Playacar, a beautiful gated community that was designed from the ground up to create a sophisticated environment for the tropical lifestyle.

The main gate for Playacar is located just north of Juarez Avenue .You can also walk into Playacar from Playa del Carmen either by walking along the beach or through the “Paseo del Carmen” mall that is at the ferry docks. Just walk north and you hit Playacar.
Playacar , is part of Playa del Carmen, this is a gated community of assorted developments to the south.

This planned, upscale, secure neighborhood has an 18-hole golf course, a dozen large all-inclusive hotels, and private condos, which are available for rent. The hotel zone in Playacar is very new, established within the last decade.

Playacar has two sections:
•Phase I is oceanfront.
•Phase II is next to the golf course.

Playacar—points of interest Within Playacar are small Maya archaeological sites located at random around the area. The Xaman-Ha Aviary has exotic Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, Green Parrots and Pink Flamingos; all in a natural setting.

Sporting attractions include an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts and water sports. There is also the beach, shopping at Paseo del Carmen and Plaza Playacar and countless other things to do and see in Playa del Carmen.

Playacar is centrally located to all the coastal adventures to be found in the Riviera Maya between Cancun and Tulum.
